Knurling is as it should be on a deadlift bar -- aggressive and feels stuck to your hands. Have had 520lbs on it thus far and bar has handled it well. Noticeable flex in weights over 400lbs. I would recommend this bar, especially at the price, it cannot be beat.

Edit: Hosted a powerlifting meet and the bar performed well. 100% would buy again.

Best deal for a high quality deadlift bar. I got the sumo deadlift bar- be aware that amazons interface makes it difficult to see the sumo deadlift bar has a tensile strength of 130kPSI as opposed to 190k with their non-sumo bars(and your average deadlift bar). However, it isn’t a noticeable difference in whip unless you’re deadlifting potentially upwards above 700lbs (may start to be slightly more whippy at that point) and if you’re deadlifting upwards of 900-1000lbs you may have to worry about the bar bending with the sumo deadlift bar as opposed to their non-sumo bar. Packaging was very secure, arrived a day earlier than expected. Looked like some paint blemishes at first but turned out to just be barbell oil that when whiped went away and the paint was uniform with no chips, scratches, or blemishes. Knurling is comparable to a kabuki deadlift bar as well as an elite FTS power bar. DEFINITELY recommend, can’t beat it for the price (in the video the white stripes on the bar are labels I added since it’s in a commercial gym where people don’t know how to use equipment correctly)

The knurling is aggressive despite having a coating due to the mountain knurl and low TPI.I like it. My conventional deadlift bar that has the knurling extend 4.75 beyond the knurl marks. Also, the knurling extends closer to the middle (13 apart vs 16.5 on my conventional deadlift bar).

Have liked adding variety to my deadlifts with this sumo bar from loeft. The red color looks nice with the fat black collars and sleeves! The bar differentiates itself by moving the knurling closer to the middle of the bar to spare your shins while pulling sumo.

Smaller bar diameter and strong knurling really helps with grip. I can easily use a hook grip if I want. The first three times I did deadlifts with this bar, I set a new reps PR each time. It's 7.5 feet long, so the plates are farther towards the ends of the bar which adds to the whip and gives you better leverage off the floor. Since most powerlifting federations use a dedicated deadlift bar like this one in competition, it makes sense to have your own to get used to using one. The great thing about this deadlift bar is that it is about half the price of the other deadlift bars with similar specs. The sleeves don't have bearings, they have bushings so the spin isn't as strong. But spin doesn't matter in the deadlift which is what this bar is made for. If you do deadlifts competitively and train in a home gym, you should get this bar. Or buy one and take it to the gym with you.

The knurling is very aggressive which is good for deadlifts. The center is smooth against shins on conventional pulls. The whip is noticeable at 315, right where is should be for a deadlift bar. I was skeptical because it was less than 200. But I'm very impressed and would recommend to anyone with a home gym set up. I'm adding a video of me testing it out as soon as I got it. I maxed out with it. 475lbs / 215kgs

Nice bar great knurling can get a solid grip came exceptionally packed use 3-4 times a week & not one that takes it easy on them

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I’ve competed for years using okie bars, Texas deadlift bars and other variations. For the price this bar is just as good I promise you. Knitting is coarse just like it should be and you get 315 and over the whip is there. Recommend 100%.

4 stars are only for the packaging and first impressions of the bar. I will update in a few days when I deadlift with it. First impressions: package comes double packed and wrapped. Not too much oil. The coating does have some discoloration on the bar but it’s a garage gym so I don’t care. The knurling is next level. I’ve used Rogue, Kabuki and Titan bars. None had this aggressive of knurling. (This is not a complaint) Might be a one off with the one I got but who knows? You can see in the photos it is true to size for deadlift bars. Bearings feel great. So far. You feel the flex while taking it out of the cardboard tubing and packaging. Hopefully that doesn’t mean it’s a weak bar and stays bent easily. Will update with videos to show at what weight the flex and whip become heavily noticeable. It’s a ridiculously nice bar. You’re not gonna find a better one for this price. I’ve uploaded a video going from 135lbs - 500lbs. The flex starts at 315lbs. And has a great whip you can really see at 500lbs. Get the bar
